Obituary of Helen Tillman Hudson

HELEN TILLMAN HUDSON, age 73, of Harrisonburg, Va. died Friday, May 17, 2019. She was born December 27, 1945 in Greenwood, S.C., the daughter of the late Waddy Hampton Hudson, Jr. and Maude Armstrong Hudson. Helen was a graduate of Mary High School in Norfolk and St. Andrew's University in Laurinburg, N.C. She received a Masters in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond and did advanced study at The Taviscott Institute in London. Helen was a therapist in private practice for over 40 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Bunnie Hudson Frye. Helen is survived by her brother, Hampton Hudson of Brevard, N.C.; numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. A Celebration of Helen's Life will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Harrisonburg Unitarian Universalist meeting house, 4101 Rawley Pike, Harrisonburg, Va. 22801.
